Some Quickies for Oct 16 2006
Some more stuff I should post more about:
- Darcus talks about RDF and FRBR and the death of MARC
- Video sites are expanding, here's a cooking show that looks quite nice.
- For those doing redesigns, 10 things that will make or break your website
- Google has released a few new things such as code search, a ping service for their blog search, a literacy project and a new groups experience that includes file uploads and pages.
- Here's an interesting music blog. Could see it being adapted for collections/digitization
- Found a couple of music recommendation engines for iTunes. There's one called The Filter and one called MusicIP.
- Christmas is getting closer
- MLA/APA/Chicago bibliographies based on ISBN
- A post on replacing a home backup system with Amazon's S. Something I've thought about for various projects. Nice to see cost analysis.
- There is now a wiki that lists academic blogs. Quite a collection.
